Happy Birthday and Big, Big Shoes

Happy birthday to [info]irinaauthor!

On a completely unrelated note, my friend Jim took me and the kids back-to-school shopping on Sunday and I finally got Ben some new sneakers.... SIZE 10 1/2. That's the same as his DAD. And my brother, who's nine years older than me. And OUR Dad, all of his adult life. Yeah. He'll be thirteen just before Halloween. Erk.

To all parents of boys: Be afraid. Be very afraid. For I have seen the future and it wears GIGANTIC SHOES. ;)

My brother has had a shoe size of 15 since his freshman year of high school.

My mother (or more accurately, her checkbook) cried quite frequently.

My brother's feet are bigger than mine, and he's twelve. And what's scarier: he says he's got the smallest shoes among all his male classmates... :S ::wibbles::
